Drag weekend...What a breeze!

Postby jtracr » Mon Jun 11, 2018 5:23 pm

Well our D7 series had race #7-8 this weekend at top gun raceway in Fallon Nv. We had a test day Friday combined with a gambler that evening. Started the day calm but by the evening we're running with 15 mph tail winds. Saturday morning was calm, sort an too calm feeling. Get thru practice with no wind. First round we are the first two cars to run. Running a 12.29 the pass before I feel safe to dial for first round. Take my wind meter to the water box before picking a dial, 48 mph tail winds! I ask can we dial about 11.50? Lol. Well watching a bunch of double break out passes we somehow end up with 3 out of 4 cars in the finals! Only one in the winners circle, but still a good day and most of all a safe day with no real issues! Sunday brought very calm all day, so now we had to all refigure our set ups without the wind factor. Ended up going a bunch of rounds there too, so all and all a great SAFE weekend!
