Dad's turn to play!

Postby jtracr » Wed Jun 20, 2018 11:28 am

Well the past month and a half we have had a very busy Jr racing schedule. 6 race weekends and over 2000 miles traveling. Father's day weekend we had a SCEDA race at Fontana, about 10 minutes from home. I decided to enter my busa powered Jr comp in No-E and drive it Saturday. Went a few rounds and had a BLAST doing it.

One of the kids that has been driving it in Jr comp ranks was there, I actually didn't even know how old he was. We talked Saturday and decided to let him drive it for Sunday. At 17 he hadn't taken a 1/4 mile pass in anything, his mom was a little nervous first pass. Well it ran a 10.34 at 127 mph and he did great. By days end he took 4 passes in it and ran almost 130 mph, you couldn't wipe the smile off his face all day. Seeing that is exactly why I try and put as many kids in these cars as I can. My kids, other people's kids, it really doesn't matter. ALL these kids grow up too fast, enjoy their youth while you can. Thanks
