33 mm issue

Postby Farock72 » Sat May 12, 2018 10:02 am

Anyone every rebuild and clean a 33mm carb and still have issues with it?
Cleaned entire carb out, new emulsion tube and needle.new needle and seat set float level.
Running same jets as my spare carb runs and works great.
After 100' spits and sputters all the way down the track as its starving for fuel as I played with jetting and gets little better but
I am at the max jet I have 220 and still sputters down the track but getting better.
Only other thing I didn't replace is the slide and the slide shaft.
Any thoughts of what I might be missing?
We get 2 time shots and tired of ruining my first time shot trying to fix this carb then second shot I replace
entire carb with my spare car runs consistent and great.

Well first off, if spare carb works great then I would start the day with that one? Lol But on the issue one check really close for a vacuum leak. Also make sure it is the same metering rod as the other and make sure the c-clip is in the same notch, seems like a small issue but can be a big deal.

Did you replace the emulsion tube with the same as it had? It’s my understanding there are different sizes. If you still have the old one I would compare or try the old one
