      key’d cranks breaking are a common thing actually,   always use a crank support that helps,   splined cranks are much stronger but limits your choice of clutches,   re keying a crank would weaken it even more,  I wouldn’t do it

        Just reporting back on this, we’ve ran the re-keyed crank for the last 2 years without any issues. So it definitely works if done right.
